Hawley, 64, of 318 National avenue N.W.. Grand Rapids, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at a trailer camp in Palmetto, Fla. He and his wife had left Grand Rapids January 167 for Florida. He was born on a farm near Saranac but had resided in Grand Rapids for the past 20 years. Hawley was an auto salesman for Madison Square garage for eight years and had retired in November. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, where he was an usher for many year. Mr. Hawley also held membership in the Mother Church, Fist Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, Mass. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Robert D., of Grand Rapids; four daughters, Mrs. Eldon Taylor of Saranac, Mrs. Ronald Mahar of Belding, Mrs. Leonard Snoap and Mrs. Edwin Jarvi of Grand Rapids; two brothers, Fred of Palmetto, Fla., and Willard of Ionia; and four sisters, Mrs. Roy Edlin and Mrs. Roy Weber of Ionia, Mrs. Fred Redemsky of Rodney, and Mrs. Bliss Grove of Lyons. The body will be brought to the Eggenbeen funeral home, Grand Rapids, Wednesday and services will be conducted there Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Easton cemetery.
