June 29, 2017 DAVID HAWLEY 1956-2017 David Hawley, age 61 of Ionia passed away June 27, 2017 in Lansing after a long illness. He was born March 30, 1956 in Ionia, MI the son of Willard and Carol (Youngs) Hawley. David graduated from Ionia High School class of 1974. He was a drummer in the IHS band and later in the Michael Edwards Band. He worked for Ionia High School for a number of years. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, history and had a great love for the U.P. and the family cabin located there. David is survived by his mother, Carol Hawley of Ionia; brother, Matt Hawley; sister, Mary (Randy) Miller of Ionia; sister-in-law, Susan Hawley of Port Huron; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Brian) Psciuk of Stamford, CT. Nathan Hawley and Kelsey Leveille of Chicago, Rebecca (Kevin) Gleason of Clinton Twp., Justin Miller of Ionia and Breanna Miller of Ionia and three great nephews, Landon, Branden and Liam. He was preceded in death by his father Willard and one brother Scott Hawley. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ionia with Father John Kirkman officiating. Visitation fro 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. Interment River Ridge Cemetery in Belding. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association or St. John's Episcopal Church.
