Willard Hawley, was attended from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Murphy, on Thursday morning. Rev. M. M. Callen of the M. E. church officiated and Mesdames Eugene Smith and Harry E. Spencer rendered several vocal selections. Interment took place in the Marble cemetery, located on a farm formerly owned by her father, in Keene township. Many relatives of the deceased attended the services at the residence, only the immediate family escorting the remains to the last earthly resting place. In the death of Mrs. Hawley there passed from the scenes of this earth a truly good woman—a motherly woman, recognized as such by all who knew her, and appreciated as such particularly in the neighborhood where she so long lived and where her gracious qualities of heart and ministering hands were always cheerfully extended. Her firm Christian faith was a source of great strength to her and an inspiration to all with whom she came in contact. The carriers were four grandsons; Wm. H. Ware, Royal Hawley, Fred Hawley, Willard Hawley.
