A. Hawley was largely attended this afternoon at two o’clock at the residence, East Washington street. Burial was in Highland Park cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. M. M. Callen, pastor of the Methodist church, who spoke simply and paid a beautiful tribute to the memory of the dead. The pall bearers were George Kuhtz, P. T. Williams, E. C. Steere, H. E.. Kidder, H. A. Rich and J. F. Wagner. The singing was by Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Spencer. The casket was covered with many handsome floral pieces among the most beautiful being pieces from the bar association, the ladies aid of the M. E. Church, and the Masons. The Ionia county bar association was represented by nine of its members. Among those here from away to attend the services were Mrs. Lois Crumb and daughter Florence, of Detroit; Mrs. Setter, of Saranac; Dr. and Mrs. W. A. Dutt, of Belding; Fred Hawley, of Orleans; Mrs. John Welch, of Portland; Mrs. Hall, of Belding.
