Sentinel-Std. - Wednesday, July 31, 1946

Mrs. Lena P. Hayden, 50, died July 30 at 4:30 p.m. at her home in Boston 
township one mile southwest of Saranac after an illness of about a year and a 
half.

She was born December 3, 1896 in Stanton.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel J. Hayden; two sons, James and Jack at 
home; four daughters, Ms. Artha Mary Cesar, Helen Marie and twins, Margaret and 
Elizabeth at home; five grandchildren; four brothers, Clayton Salsbury of 
Riverside, Ira Salsbury of South Haven, Willis Salsbury of Fowler and Hoyt 
Salsbury of Lansing; and three sisters, Mrs. C. Gates of Elkhart, Indiana, Mrs. 
Carrie Hedding of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Kenneth Pakes of Stanton.

Funeral services will be held from Morris funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with 
the Rev. Joseph Salsbury of Springport officiating. Interment in Saranac 
cemetery.
