The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, April 1, 1920

Mrs. Ned Hayes died at seven-thirty Saturday evening of a complication of 
diseases, mainly heart trouble.  She was forty-seven years of age and had been 
an invalid for several years, during which her husband, Mr. Hayes, has taken 
devoted care of her.  She had lived here most of her life and had many 
friends.  The funeral services were held from the St. John’s church Tuesday 
morning.  Interment took place at Ionia.
