The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, March 30, 1939
After an illness of two years Mrs. Bert Hayner, 53, died at University 
hospital, Saturday.  The funeral was held in Portland Monday.  The family were 
residents of a farm northeast of Lake Odessa until five years ago when they 
moved to Portland. 

Mrs. Hayner was born in Illinois and married there.  They came to Odessa in 
1915.  She leaves many friends in the localities where she lived.  Besides her 
husband she is mourned by a daughter, Mrs. Frances Stanton of Lansing; a son, 
Lewis Hayner of Portland; four sisters, Mrs. Caroline Reising and Mrs. Ann 
Reising of Cobery, Ill., Mrs. Mary Glabb of Collum, Ill., Mrs. Clara Fatka of 
Gillman, Ill.; two brothers, Lewis Ginter of Collum, Ill., and Otto Ginter of 
Lake Odessa.
