The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, August 7, 1970


Mrs. Jeanette M. Haynes, 77, former resident of Ionia, died in Worthington, 
Ohio, Thursday evening where she had made her home the past 11 years with her 
daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Greenleaf.

Born in Ionia county April 11, 1893, she was a daughter of Loyal H. and Agnes 
Holcomb.  Mrs. Haynes was employed as a saleswoman in several Ionia stores 
prior to her retirement.  While in Ionia she attended the First Christian 
church, but in Worthington attended the United Methodist church.

Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Greenleaf, are three grandchildren.

The body is at Stone-Kauffman funeral home where friends may call beginning at 
7 p.m. August 8.  Services will be at 2 p.m. August 10 at the funeral home with 
Rev. Theodore Forbes of the First Christian church officiating.  Burial will be 
in Highland Park cemetery.
