Mary E. Haynes 70, Dies in Hospital

Mrs. Mary E. Hynes, 70, of Woodland, passed away at the Hayes-Green-Beach 
hospital at Charlotte early Friday morning. She had been a patient there since 
Sunday. She had spent most of her life in the Woodland area coming with her 
parents when a small girl from  Decatur, Illinois. Mrs. Hynes attended the 
Woodland Methodist church.

Surviving are her husband, Leon, whom she married in 1913 at Hastings; two 
daughters, Mrs.  Gerald (Kathryn) Potter of Woodland and Mrs. Cecil (Gladys) 
Bennett of Bradenton, Fla.' five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a 
sister, Mrs. Mabel Evans of Decatur, Ill.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens funeral chapel 
with burial in Woodland Memorial cemetery.
