Mary E. Haynes 70, Dies in Hospital

Mrs.Mary E.Haynes, 70, of Woodland, passed away at the Hayes-Green-Beach 
hospital at Charlotte, early Friday morning. She had been a patient there since 
Sunday. She had spent most of her life in the Woodland area coming with her 
parents when a small girl from Decatur, Illinois. Mrs.Haynes attended the 
Woodland Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Leon, whom she married in 1913 at Hastings; two 
daughters, Mrs Gerald (Kathryn) Potter of Woodland and Mrs.Cecil (Gladys) 
Bennett of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a 
sister Mrs.Mable Evans of Decatur, Ill.

Funeral services were  held on Saturday at 2 p.m  at the Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial in Woodland Memorial cemetery.
