Haynor was the second son of Henry H. and Roxy Haynor, [several unreadable lines] moved to Michigan and in the year 1839 located in Easton, Ionia County, their first home being at Dildine corners, then a wilderness. On April 3, 1859, he was united in marriage to Miss Nancy Bolton of Palmyra, Mich. To this union were born four children, Albert C. of Easton, Elmore L. (now deceased), Lee J. of McBrides, and Mrs. Blanche Perrine of Boyne City. Besides these children he leaves two brothers, Tobias of Hesperia and Charles of Delta, Colorado, and one sister, Mrs. Catherine Tillison of Lyons. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Haynor was probably the oldest pioneer of Easton. His wife died twenty-one years ago last February and since that time he has lived a very lonely life. The children and grandchildren tried to make his home pleasant but he missed her cheerful influence. After a long illness he departed this life, on Wednesday, June 18, 1913. Seventy-five years ago Mr. Haynor and older brother, Tobias, went with their father while he cut down the timber and cleared the field where the Dildine church now stands. The funeral was held at the Dildine church on Sunday, June 22, at two o’clock. Rev. E. E. Branch of Ionia spoke. The singers were Mrs. Jenny Dildine, Fred Gould and Mrs. Charles Ehlers. He was laid to rest in Easton cemetery.
