E. Haysmer, 56, of 445 State street, died Tuesday evening at 9:30 o’clock in the Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. Mr. Haysmer had been ill for two years. Born December 31, 1887 in Ionia township, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Howitt. August 8, 1910, she was married to Jay E. Haysmer of Ionia and with the exception of a year in Indianapolis, Ind., a year in Alma and four years in Sheridan, she had lived her entire life in Ionia. Mrs. Haysmer was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Rev. Obed Klein will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Surviving is her husband, Jay E. Haysmer, and her stepmother, Mrs. Rose Gordon, of Ionia. ---- Funeral services for Mrs. Jay E. Haysmer, 56, of 445 State street, were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Seventh Day Adventist church. The Rev. Obed Klein officiated, and burial was in the Oak Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Rutt, James Stevenson, Forrest Stevenson, Bert Staines, Harvey Staines, and Roy Williams. Relatives from away were Mrs. W. K. Kellogg of Battle Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hastings of Belding, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Norton of Smyrna, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nebulong of Michigan Center, Mrs. Mae Curtis of Saranac, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Haysmer, William Wells, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Scott, and Miss Gladys Haysmer of Sheridan, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Haysmer of Vickeryville, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Wisniewski of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Treynor of Orleans, Mr. and Mrs. William Steere of Crystal and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Staines of Fenwick.
