Ionia County News, 3 Nov 1949

Nelson J. Haysmer, 73, of Ronald township, died suddenly at his home Wednesday
morning, Nov.  2, at 11:15.  He was born August 26, 1896, in Ronald township,
the son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Haysmer and was one of five generations of
Haysmers to attend Hubble school, in Ronald township.  He was married to Alta E.
Boyd, Orleans, in January, 1897.  In 1947, they celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert McPherson of Ionia township and Mrs.
Donald McPherson of Ronald township; nine grandchildren; ten
great-grandchildren; two sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Friday afternoon from the
Stone-Kauffman Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Woodard Lake Cemetery.
