Hastings Reminder - Sat. July 13, 2013

LAKE ODESSA, MI- Arthur P. Hayward III, age 38, of Lake Odessa passed away 
suddenly on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Spectrum Health System Butterworth 
Campus.

Art was born January 17, 1975 in Lansing, to Arthur and Karen (Vroman) Hayward, 
Jr. In 1993, he graduated from Lakewood High School where he met Lisa Hoort who 
became his wife in 1994.

Art was an avid hunter, fisherman, sports enthusiast, as well as a pyromaniac 
who enjoyed putting on an annual fireworks display. He was active in the 
community as a member of the Lake Odessa Little League Board.

Art leaves behind wife, Lisa, children, Alex, Arthur IV, Allison; parents , 
Arthur (Carolyn) Hayward, Jr., Karen Russell; sisters, Tina Hayward, Christina 
(Ben) Hayward, Terri (Rick) Withrow, Brandy Eberly; father-in-law, Larry 
(Gerri) Hoort; sister-in-law, Julie (Andy) Hartzler; brother-in-law, Jonathan 
(Alexis Rains) Hoort; grandmothers, Joan Ward, Helen Brandsen; along with 
several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by mother-in-law, Sharon Hoort; grandfather, Arthur Hayward, 
Sr.; uncle, Christopher Hayward.

A memorial service is planned for Monday, July 15, 2013, 6 p.m. at the Koops 
Funeral Chapel, 935 4th Ave., Lake Odessa, MI 48849. Visitation will be held on 
Sunday, July 14, from 2-4 p.m. as well as an hour prior at the Koops Funeral 
Chapel.
