Rites Held for Glenn G. Hazel
Glenn G. Hazel 73, of 7667 Woodland Rd., Route 3, Lake Odessa, passed away 
Friday night at the Munson hospital at Traverse City, a short time after 
admittance.
He and his wife left last Monday to stay with a daughter at Traverse City for a 
while as Mr. Hazel had ben hospitalized.

He was born March 23, 1903 in Lowell, the son of George and Viva (Leyer) Hazel 
and was a 1920 graduated of the Lowell High School. He married Arlene 
Schmalzried of Woodland August 25, 1928 and moved to their present address from 
Lowell in 1933.

Mr. Hazel was a farmer and chain saw dealer and was a member of the Zion 
Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Wane N. Woodland Rd. Lake Odessa; two daughters, 
Mrs. Norbert (Janet) Winkler and Mrs. Larry (Marjorie) Wicherin, both of 
Traverse City; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hazel reposed at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel until Monday forenoon then 
was taken to the Zion Lutheran Church where funeral services were held at 1:30. 
Rev. Randall Metz officiated with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
