The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Thursday, February 15, 1962
William Hazel, 84, of Jackson, retired businessman, died about 3:30 Thursday 
morning at Jackson Mercy hospital.  He was born in Sebewa township, Ionia 
County, December 18, 1877, the son of George and Harriet Hazel, and spent most 
of his life in that area until he moved to Jackson 12 years ago.  He is 
survived by three brothers, Alfred and Charles of Lake Odessa, and Oliver 
Hazel of Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Blackman of Sunfield, and Mrs. 
Anna Shattuck of Owosso.  Funeral will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa, Saturday at 2 p.m.  Burial will be at Lakeside cemetery.
