Mrs. Anna I. Hazel, 89, of Lake Odessa died late Monday.  She was born in 
Odessa township, June 16, 1879, the daughter of Charles Sickles and Laura 
Gillette Sickles.  She was a member of Calvary United Brethren church and 
Royal Neighbors.

She was married to Alfred Hazel in 1895 and after more than 70 years of 
married life he preceded her in death August 23, 1965.

Surviving are five sons, Clare of Detroit, Lee of St. Petersburg, Fla., 
Richard of Palm Harbor, Fla., Russell and Robert of Lake Odessa; three 
daughters, Mrs. Edward Soper of Flint, Mrs. Charles Frances and Mrs. Gerald 
Bratz of Detroit; 21 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren; also one 
sister, Mrs. Ellen Hullenberger of Marion.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel at 
Lake Odessa.  Rev. Norman Wilbert will officiate and burial will be at 
Lakeside cemetery.
