The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Thursday, October 4, 1906
On Wednesday last, Mrs. Hazelitt, mother of Irving Hazelitt, went out to 
gather some peaches.  On returning to the house she was taken ill and has been 
growing worse since.  On Tuesday the typhoid fever sign was put on the house.  
Mrs. Hazelitt suffered stroke of paralysis on that day and her recovery is 
doubtful.  She was unconscious on Tuesday.  She has made her home with her son 
near Nickel Plate.

Mrs. Hazelitt passed away yesterday and the funeral will be attended tomorrow 
from the residence, interment in the cemetery near the house.  The deceased 
was an estimable lady and died at the age of 69 years.
