Lake Odessa Wave - January 30, 1947
          MRS. JESSE HAZEN DIED WEDNESDAY
   Mrs. Jennie S. Hazen, 69, died at Pennock hospital early Wednesday morning where
she had been confined 
for the last two weeks.
   She was born March 17, 1877, n Campbell township and had resided in this
community all her life.  Surviving 
are the husband, Jesse, one daughter, Mrs. Paul Benedict of Lake Odessa, one sister,
its Gertrude Simkins 
and a brother Harry Simkins both n Clarksville and three grandchildren.
   Mrs. Hazen reposes at the Pickens Funeral chapel where services will be held
Friday at 2 with the Rev. 
William B. Patrson officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
   Mr. Hazen served as supervisor of Odessa township for several terms and the
family had resided on the 
farm north of Clarksville before coming to Lake Odessa.  He has been ill but is now
better.
