Charles Hazzard, 67, of Pharr, Texas, died Sunday morning following a heart 
attack.

He had lived most of his early life in Berlin township and was married to Ella 
Dye of South Ionia. Following their marriage they moved to Toledo where they 
operated a trailer park. She died in 1952.

Mr. Hazzard was later married in Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Bricker of 
Defiance, Ohio; three sons, Robert and Harold of Toledo, and Harry of Pharr; 
two sisters, Mrs. Lois Sherwood and Mrs. Harriett McDonald of Ionia; 11 
grandchildren; and two brothers-in-law, Van Dye of Ionia and Harry Dye of 
Detroit.

funeral service will be at H.H. Birkenkamp funeral home in Toledo Thursday at 3 
p.m.
