George N. Hazzard Died Sunday Night

George N. Hazzard, 74, died at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids, Sunday, 
following several weeks of hospitalization there. He was a prominent farmer and 
resident on M-66 south of Ionia until  retiring two years ago and moving to Lake 
Odessa.

Surviving are the widow, Alice, two daughters, Mrs. Noel Barker at Benton Harbor, 
and Mrs. Arthur Larson at Wayland, three sisters, Mrs. Amy Shook, Mrs. Lois 
Sherwood and Ms. William MacDonald, all of Ionia, two brothers, Benjamin in Lake 
Odessa, and Charles at Cleveland, O., and six grandchildren. Funeral services 
were held Wednesday afternoon and burial was in the Balcom cemetery near Ionia.
