The Ionia Daily Standard, Friday, November 13, 1905


Saranac Local:  The death of Mrs. Sarah Headworth of South Boson, removes 
another, and perhaps at the time of her demise the oldest in age and length of 
residence, of the pioneers of that section.  ‘Tis close to sixty years ago when 
she, with her husband and family, settled in the wilderness, and by their hard 
work and industry transformed it into a handsome farm.  There are buy a few 
left who were her contemporaries of those days. 

Deceased was an estimable old lady, and always enjoyed the respect and esteem 
of her neighbors.
