Harvey N. Heald, 96, of rural Greenville, passed away Sunday morning, January 
11, 2004 at Metron of Greenville.  The son of Perry and Martha Fitzjohn Heald, 
he was born May 24, 1907 in Belding.  On October 22, 1953, in Belding, he 
married Dorothy A. Dann.

He Heald retired from Extruded Metals in Belding.  Harvey had also farmed most 
of his life, mostly growing produce which he sold around the area, including to 
the old Meijer Grocery Store.  

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Heald; two sons and 
daughter-in-law, Nelson and JoAnn Heald of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Chuck Heald 
of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Ed Allen of Adrian; nine 
grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-
law, Frances Bussell-Heald of Belding, Hazel Dann of Greenville; three brothers-
in-law, John Dann Richard Dann, both of Greenville, Charles and Alga Dann of 
Mancelona; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral and committal services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Teman & 
Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Dan Seadorf officiating.  
Private burial will follow in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  Envelopes 
for memorial contributions are available at the funeral home, where the family 
will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.
