Greenville Daily News - Monday, June 2, 1952

Mrs. Alice Heald, 91, died at her home on Orange St. Sunday morning after an 
illness of two years. Mrs. Heald, born in Iowa, was a member of the Methodist 
Church.

Her husband, James, a veteran of the Civil War, died in 1907.

Survivors include one step-daughter, Ms. Annie Van Totenham of Lakeland, Fla. 
and one step-son, Claude Heald  of Ramona, Calif. Among several nieces and 
nephews surviving are Glenn Underwood of Greenville and Alvin Sharp of Amaden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hoffman Funeral Home, the 
Rev. Verner Kilgreen officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum  at Ionia 
cemetery.
