October 8, 1920 FUNERAL OF GAILEN HEALEY HELD AT M.E.CHURCH THUR. The funeral of Gailen Burns Healey was held at the M.E.Church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The two boys and their mother, Mrs.Bessie Healey, have been living at Pontiac for the past two or three years and young Gailen, a lad of fifteen years, was a bright student in the schools there. He was particularly interested in wireless telegraphy and had constructed the machinery and was learning the code with the hope of sending messages to his boy friends in lake Odessa, when he was stricken with acute Bright's disease and died Tuesday. The body was brought here on Wednesday and the funeral held Thursday. Gailen was a member of the M.E. church here and from early childhood was a devoted Christian His Sunday school and church relations were under the late Mrs R.C. Blair and Rev. Laity. Rev. A.H. Lash preached and Miss Melva Nagler sang and the boy was laid to rest in Lakeside cemetery.
