EXCERPTS FROM OBITUARY:

Alverda Heaton, aged 86 died  in Alto on February 20, 1947

Born in 1860 in McCutchinville Ohio
Married Lemuel Heaton of North Baltimore Ohio in 1877.

Came to Michigan about 1882
Lemuel built Kart's Mills

Preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Helena

Survived by her daughter, Mrs. Clarence J. Braden; two granddaughters; one 
grandson; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Charles Leet and nieces and 
nephews

Burial in Lakeside cemetery
