                                     HEATON

Richard Lawrence Heaton, age 67, of Fenwick. On September 6, 2022, Rick's spirit 
departed this life and is now at peace.

He grew up in Lansing and then served in the USAF, working on missile systems in 
Kansas.After his discharge he moved to Colorado, owning both cleaning and hot 
tub businesses. Rick also volunteered with Search and Rescue for 15 years and 
volunteered his help with lighting and staging of local theater productions.

In 1992 he returned to Michigan to care for his father, becoming an RN, working 
in surgery, hospice care, and in the pain clinic in Carson City. Subsequently he 
trained in Lapeer and Became a licensed massage therapist.

Rick loved the outdoor life. He was an experienced back packing survivalist, 
hiking the Appalachian Trail with his dog and camped often at Isle Royale and 
other Michigan State Parks.He enjoyed cross country skiing, riding his bike in 
the Del Mac races and kayaking.

Rick's resilience and gentle intuitive nature will be greatly missed by his 
family, close friends and clients.
