He was born September 24, 1880 in Campbell Township, Ionia County, the son of Alonzo and Isabelle (Hatch) Heaven. He was a farmer for years in the rural area and moved to the village of Clarksville in 1949. He was at one time employed at the bomber plant at Ypsilanti. Mr. Heaven attended the Lake School and the Transue Academy at Clarksville and spent one year at the Central Michigan University at Mt. Pleasant. He married Cora White, November 23, 1906 at Clarksville and she passed away in 1942. He then married Clysta Watkins in November of 1944. Surviving are his wife; one son, Richard Heaven of Ypsilanti; a stepson, Walwin Watkins of Billings, Montana; four grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at Clarksville, Tuesday at 1:30. Rev. Elwood Norton officiated with burial in the Clarksville Cemetery.
