Heaven, age 95, of Clarksville entered her heavenly home on Jan. 16, 2015 at the Elizabeth Adult Foster Care in Saranac, Michigan. Eleanor was born in Keene Township on Oct. 17, 1919, to Nelson and Glendora “Glen” (Hunter) Wright. She graduated from Clarksville High School and later attended Moody Bible College obtaining a degree in youth ministry. She then spent 15 years as a missionary in the Ozark Mountains going from school to school spreading the Lord’s word. When Eleanor returned to Clarksville she worked with the Child Evangelism Fellowship and served as the first director. In 1941 she married Russell Beukema who perished in WWII. She then married Richard “Dick” Heaven in 1977 and he preceded her in May of 2006. Eleanor really enjoyed be a housewife and taking care of her family. Eleanor is survived by children, Linda (Robert) Soulliere, David Heaven and Susan (David) Vasher, daughter-in-law Rita Heaven along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Proceeding Eleanor in death are her parents; first husband Russell, second husband Dick, siblings Lester Wright, Bernice Font and Frances Heaven along with son Joseph Heaven. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at the Koops Funeral Chapel, 935 4th Ave. Lake Odessa, MI 48849 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the South Boston Bible Church, 10280 West Grand River Avenue Lowell, MI 49331. Interment will take place at Clarksville Cemetery in Clarksville, MI. Memorials in Eleanor’s name may be given to the South Boston Bible Church.
