Herman Rossow officiating. Interment will be in Mount Rest cemetery, St. Johns. Mr. Hecht died Wednesday morning at his residence, route 2, Fowler, following a short illness. Family prayers will be at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at Osgood funeral home in St. Johns. He was born in Ionia county December 27, 1908, the son of William Hecht and Edith Patterson Hecht and attended the Ionia schools. In 1934 he was married to Martha Grams in Ionia. His life work was farming and he lived the past 20 years at his present address. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church in Fowler and the Farm Bureau organization. Surviving are his wife Martha, one son James at home; three brothers, Harold Ionia, William of Saranac, and Erford of Palo; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Dyke and Ethel Hecht both of Ionia, Mrs. Beulah Peterson and Mrs. Elizabeth Sprague both of Palo.
