Hecht, 81, died unexpectedly at 2:15 Monday morning at her home in Ionia township where she had resided the past 42 years. She had been a resident of Ionia county 55 years. She was born June 27, 1880 in Wayne county, the daughter of John and Grace Tate Patterson, and was married to William Hecht in Maple Rapids July 20, 1897. He died June 1, 1931. Mrs. Hecht is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Curtis Dyke of Ionia, Mrs. Beulah Peterson of Palo, Mrs. Lyle Sprague of Fenwick, and Ethel at home; five sons, Lloyd Hecht of Vickeryville, Harold of route one Ionia, Fred of Fowler, William of Saranac, and Erford of Palo; one sister, Mrs. Ada Pearson of Clio; two brothers, Erford Patterson of Fowler, and Alfred of Laingsburg; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Edith, preceded her in death in 1921. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Boynton funeral home with the Rev. A.J. Buckner officiating and burial at Highland Park cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 to receive friends.
