Hecht, 62, of route one, Fenwick died Friday of a heart attack suffered in his car near Carson City. Born February 7, 1902 in Fowler, Mr. Hecht had been a resident of Bushnell township the past 30 years. He was a farmer and former employee of Mitchell- Bentley corporation. He was also former owner and operator of Vickeryville telephone company. In 1925 he was married to Eva Greenhoe who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Fred Hecht of Ionia route three, Vern of Carson City and Gerald of Fenwick; seven grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Curtis Dyke of Ionia; Mrs. Beulah Peterson, Mrs. Lyle Sprague of Fenwick and Ethel Hecht of Ionia route one; four brothers, Harold Hecht of Ionia, Fred of St. Johns, William of Saranac and Erford of Fenwick. Funeral service will be Monday at 3:30 p.m. At Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan. Interment will be at Palo cemetery. Bearers will be Carl Stevens, Stanley Bradish, Ted Goodsell, Donald Merrithew, Orran Middleton and Allen Sebring.
