Ethel M. Hecht aged 81, of Ionia, passed away Monday, January 9, 2006 in Grand 
Rapids. She was born September 24, 1924 in Ionia Twp. the daughter of William 
and Edith (Patterson) Hecht. She attended Lyons-Muir Church, Golden Years Club 
in Muir and played cards at Commission on Aging.

Ethel is survived by her brother William and Evelyn Hecht of Saranac; sister-
in-law Muriel Hecht of Crystal, several nieces, nephews and her beloved dog 
Lucky. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Grace, Beulah, 
Lloyd, Harold, Fred, Edith, Elizabeth and Erford.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Burt Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives Thursday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Anyone wishing may 
make memorial contributions in Ethel's name to Lyons-Muir Church.
