Ionia Sentinel Standard, 19 Apr 1961

Mrs. Mary Heckman, 65, lifelong resident of Pewamo, died Monday at Clinton
Memorial hospital in St. Johns.  She was a patient about four weeks.  She was
born March 20, 1896, and had operated the Heckman grocery store in Pewamo many
years.  She was a member of the Altar society and Blue Star Mothers club.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; two sons, Francis Heckman and William
Heckman of Pewamo, and two grandchildren. 

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic church in Pewamo at 10 o’clock
Friday morning with interment at St. Joseph cemetery.  Rosary will be recited at
the Geller funeral home in Westphalia at 3 and 8 p.m. each day.
