Frank J. Heckman, 85, 248 Yates St., Pewamo, died Thursday in a Lansing
Hospital.  He was born Sept. 23, 1896, in Gagetown, the son of John Heckman and
Catherine Adams Heckman.  He was sexton of the St. Joseph Cemetery, and served
as township clerk and village treasurer.

Survivors include two sons, Frank and William of Pewamo; one brother, Clarence
of Lansing; one sister, May Schrauben of Portland; 10 grandchildren and one
great grandchild.

Funeral services will be today at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Church in Pewamo with
The Rev. Isador Garganthiel officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph
Cemetery.
