The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, March 9, 1963

Mrs. Ione Kuhtz Hecox, 67, of 622 Union street, wife of Glenn Hecox, died 
unexpectedly at 3 o’clock Saturday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital.  
She was born in Ionia October 9, 1895, the daughter of George and Alice Taft 
Kuhtz, and lived most of her life in Ionia.  She had resided at the present 
residence five years.  She was married to Glenn Hecox October 23, 1943.

Mrs. Hecox was a charter member of The Service guild of Ionia County Memorial 
hospital auxiliary, and was a member of Ionia Garden club and Ionia City 
Extension club.  She was treasurer of Stevens Thomson Mason chapter of 
Daughters of American Revolution and attended First Methodist church.

Surviving is her husband, Glenn.

Funeral service will be at Boynton funeral home Monday at 2 p.m.  Paul H. 
Coover will officiate and temporary entombment will be at Highland park 
cemetery.
