Ionia Daily Sentinel, 22 Sep 1949

Funeral services for Joseph Heether, 72, of the Miriam district near Belding
were held at St. Marys church in Miriam Monday at 10 a.m.  Heether died suddenly
at his home Friday evening.  Conducting the services were the Rev. Fr. Steves. 
Interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery.  Bearers were Joseph Zahm, Gus Laux, Ferd
Breimayer, Theodore Albert, Theodore Gasper and Anthony Reitz.

Among those from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Heether, Mr. and Mrs. Harold McKendry, sr., Ben Neve, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick
Vincent of Ionia, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Heether of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Bzeinski of Alpena and Helair Gagnon of Bay City.
