Christian Heether Dies At 86 Years

Christian B. Heether, 86, died last Saturday at a Belding convalescent home.  He
was born in Thompson, Ohio, February 20, 1874, and had been a member of St.
Mary’s church and the Holy Name society in Miriam.  He had lived in the Otisco
township area for 80 years.

Never married, Heether, never-the-less, had many nephews and nieces.  He was
also a sexton at St. Mary’s cemetery.

A rosary was said at the Huffman funeral home Monday at 8 p.m. and funeral
services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s church in Miriam with
Father C.E. Steves officiating.  Pallbearers were Lawrence Heether, Leonard
Heether, Alfred Heether, James Heether, Walter Scheid and Kenneth Fisher. 
Burial was in the St. Mary’s cemetery, Miriam.
