Ionia Daily Sentinel, 10 Apr 1917

August William Heiden, aged 60 years, died this morning at his home on North 
Jackson street.  He had been in ill health for five years, and was seriously 
ill for several weeks.  He was born in Germany, coming to this country when a 
young man.  Four children survive him – Charles of this city, William of 
Milwaukee, Mrs. Augustus Henschell of Milwaukee and Mrs. August Kohagen of 
Fowler.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 at the residence and at 
2 o’clock at the German Lutheran church, Rev. H. B. Succop officiating.  
Interment will be in Highland park.
