Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 30 Mary 1959

Funeral service for Mrs. Violet M. Heilman, 71, who died March 26 at her
residence, route one, Portland, was held at Phelps funeral chapel Saturday at
2:30 p.m.  The Rev. Heath T. Goodwin, pastor of First Methodist church of Ionia,
officiated.  Interment was in Chapel Hill Memorial cemetery at Lansing.  Bearers
were Mrs. Heilman’s grandsons, John Vos, Rodney and Gary Culy, Leo Haybarker,
Douglas DuMond and Robert Sova.

Friends and relatives attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Arvil
Heilman, Mr. and Mrs. John Vos, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Haybarker and Lester Bailey of
Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. William DuMond, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas DuMond and Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Sova of Holland; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Rose, Doyle and Jerry Lynn of
Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Noble Culy, Rodney, Gary and Sherry, Mr. and Mrs. Merle
Heilman, Mrs. Larry Ingalls and Miss Sally Hayes of Grand Ledge; Vern Heilman
and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Heilman of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Nellie Heilman of Reed City;
Mrs. Emmett Doty and Carl Heilman of Kalamazoo; Mr. and Mrs. Elgie Pratt of
Otsego, Mr. and Mrs. E. Oathout, Mrs. Leota Casper, Mrs. Beatrice Hummel and
Mrs. Mabel Newman of Lansing; Mrs. L. W. Skutt of St. Johns, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin
DuMond of Dorr, Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Setchfield of Belding and Lee McCarry of Holt.
