ARVIL JOHN HEILMAN, 70
Passed away January 4, 2018 in Marquette,MI. He was born on October 23, 1948 to
Lewis John and France A (Greenacre) Heilman in Annapolis, M.D.

Avril grew up in Portland, Mi. and graduated from Portland High School, He served in
the U.S. Navy (Vietnam) from 1967-1971. He worked at GM inLansing from 1971- 2003. After
retirement, he moved to Grand Maris, MI in the Upper Peninsula where he loved to
hunt and fish and was a gunsmith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, step-father, Jerome E.
Frazee, brother, Marvin Heilman, granddaughter, Felicia Ann Heilman. He is survived by son,
John L. (Chala) Heilman of Ionia and their children, Brad (Lisa) Heilman of Florida,
Heather (Scott) Haskins of Grand Rapids, sister, Lorna Parsons of Evart, MI. brother, Lonnie
Heilman (Fran) of Ionia, brother Loren (Marilyn) Heilman of Portland, MI. Grandsons and 
granddaughter.

Interment was September 12, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
with full Military honors.
