O. William Heintzelman, Prominent Farmer Dies Saturday Evening from Accident. Funeral Tuesday at Sebewa Center. Last Saturday William Heintzelman of Sebewa came to Lake Odessa to get some freight. Leaving his car by the freight office he crossed the track to get to the depot to pay the freight bill. Just as he was clearing the last track he was struck and knocked down by the fast passenger train No. 4. He was carried into the station and Dr. John N. Robinson, who is the Pere Marquette doctor here, was called. He found Mr. Heintzelman’s back injured. He was taken to his home northeast of here where he died that evening. Mr. Heintzelman was 77 years of age, has lived in Sebewa about 40 years. He leaves a son Harry who lives on the home farm and a daughter Mrs. George Slater who lives nearby. The funeral was held at the Methodist church at Sebewa Center, Rev. R. A. Hoffman preached the sermon and Messrs George and Russell Goodemoot sang accompanied by Miss Helen Goodsell. Burial was in Sebewa cemetery. ---- Obituary of William Heintzelman William Edward Heintzelman was born in Southington, Trumbull county, Ohio, July 23, 1854, and passed away February 20 at 7 p.m., 1932. He came with his parents to Cascade, near Grand Rapids, when eight years of age, then moved to the farm, where he died, in 1878, where he was married to Ida F. Smith, November 21, 1880. Three sons and two daughters blessed this union, one son and one daughter passing away in infancy. he leaves a widow, two sons and a daughter to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father, also several grandchildren and great- grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters, and a host of other relatives. He was 77 years, six months, and 28 days old. The accident comes very sad for the family on account of the accident of his son-in-law, George Slater, only two months, two weeks and two days previous.
