The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, May 20, 1941

Funeral services for Velma Heintzelman, 19-year-old Lake Odessa girl who was 
killed in an automobile accident near Vestaburg during the weekend, will be 
held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Sebewa Center church.  Prayer services will be 
held at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Goodsell in Lake Odessa.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Heintzelman of northeast of Lake 
Odessa.  Born in Wisconsin, she later moved with her family to North Dakota 
and two years ago moved to Lake Odessa where they have since resided.  She was 
a member of the Sebewa Center church and sang in the church choir.

Surviving are the parents, three sisters, Marcella, Lucille and Betty at home, 
and three brothers, Alvin, Billy and Raymond at home, and an aunt, Mrs. Byron 
Goodsell, in Lake Odessa.
