"SANDY" HEINTZELMAN Sandra R. "Sandy" Heintzelman, 75, of Belding, passed away December 16, 2019 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Sandy was born on February 17, 1944 in East Grand Rapids, the daughter of Harold V. and Esther M. (DeGraff) Johnson. She graduated from Belding High School and later graduated from Grand Valley State University with a teaching certificate. Sandy later taught in Belding for many years as a Special Education Teacher. She enjoyed genealogy, knitting, gardening and raising her family and spending time with grandchildren especially at all their sporting and musical events. She was a member of the First congregational Church, Belding where she had served as the organist. While she was a private lady Sandy had a great love of her family and friends and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Sany married Lonnie Heintzelman of March 17, 1961 and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2009. She was also preceded by her parent. Sandy is loved and survived by her children; David (Yvonne) Heintzelman of San Jose, CA, Tim (Marcy) Heintzelman of Lowell and Amy Heintzelman of Belding, adopted daughter; Mary Heintzelman of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren; Zachary, Alyssa, Lana and Evan, Lonnie's family; Ann (Art) Ward of Grattan, Phil (Becky) Heintzelman of Belding and Roberta Smith of Grattan. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the First Congregational Church, Belding with Pastor Paul Hulford officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening December 20, 2019 at Johnson- Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding and one hour before the service at church. Committal Prayers will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Belding Library or First Congregational Organ Fund.
