               HARRY R. HEINTZELMAN

   IONIA - Harry R. Heintzelman, 90, a longtime Sebewa township and Lake Odessa
resident, died Tuesday 
morning at the Ionia Manor where he had been a resident for the past five years.

   Born in Sebewa township, October 17, 1887, he was a son of William and Ida
(Smith) Heintzelman, and lived 
and farmed in the township until he moved to Lake Odessa in 1951.  He was employed
at the Lake Odessa 
Canning factory for several years before retiring in 1961.

   He married Grace Carpenter in October, 1908, in Grand Rapids.  She preceded him
in death on December 
29, 1950.

   Surviving are three sons, Howard and Everett of Ionia, and Robert of Greenville,
two daughters, Mrs. Olive 
Slater and Mrs. June Courts of Ionia; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

   A son, Norton, and daughter, Dorothy, preceded him in death.

   Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday from Leddick's funeral home, with the Rev. Carl
Hausermann of the First 
United Methodist church, officiating.

   The family will be at the funeral home to receive relatives and friends Wednesday
from 7 to 9 p.m., and 
Thursday from 2 to 4  p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

   Burial is at East Sebewa cemetery.
