Meredith Anne Heitman, 9 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Heitman, 
503 Rich street, died at 1 a.m. Thursday in the Clinton Memorial Hospital three 
weeks after she had become ill with a kidney infection.

She had been critically ill since her removal to the hospital only a few days 
ago.

She was born in Ionia June 29, 1934, and was a pupil in the fourth grade at the 
Jefferson grade school in Ionia.

Surviving are the parents, a brother, Frederick, and sister, Marjorie; the 
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Heitman of Lansing and Mr. and Mrs. Stanford 
Lefler of Reese.

Funeral services are to be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the St. 
Johns Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. R.A. Rook will officiate and interment 
will be at the Balcom cemetery.
