Carson City Gazette, 7 Jan 1898

Robert Helliker of West Bloomer, died at his home Sunday morning.  Death 
resulted from an abcess under the right arm.  The funeral was largely attended 
and was held at the M.E. Church in West Bloomer, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., the 
services being conducted by Rev. G.H. Lockhart of Palo, and Rev. N.L. Otis.  
The deceased was a soldier in the was for the union, in Co. G., 65th Ohio 
Infantry, and lost the use of his left arm by a gun shot wound.  He was born in 
Livingston Co., N.Y., in 1837, moved to Ohio in 1855 and in 1878 settled in 
Bloomer township.  In early life he was a member of the M.E. Church.  He leaves 
a widow, three daughters and brothers and sisters.

buried in Palo Cemetery.]
