Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. November 5, 1931

TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO, Friday, Nov. 9, 1906
George M. Helmer, a well-to-do farmer living seven miles southwest of here in 
Carlton Township, died about eight O'clock Saturday evening as a result of a 
rabid dog bite just two months before. He was a great sufferer during the day 
and in terrible agony when death came.
