George L. Johnston, of Paw Paw, in charge. Gerald Robinson, John Chase, Herbert Eckley, Birdette Brigham, Edward Elvert and Frank Soper served as bearers. The interment took place in the North Plains cemetery. Mrs. Helmer died Friday night after a long illness. She was born in the vicinity of her present home 68 years ago and had always lived there. She was of a quiet, retiring disposition, but had acquired many friends through her long residence in the neighborhood and through her association with the Gleaner lodge and the North Plains Community church. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Heydlauff. Surviving is her husband, who is critically ill, and a daughter, Mrs. Melvin Burtraw, of Muir, and a grandson, Russell Burtraw, and a brother, Charles Heydlauff, living near the Helmer farm.
