Ionia Sentinel Standard, 9 Apr 1990

Charles L. Helmer, 54, of 3030 Turkey Trail, Ionia, died at his residence
Saturday afternoon.  He was born in Ionia May 23, 1935, the son of Burton and
Gladys Rhoades Helmer, and was graduated from Ionia High School in the Class of
1954.  He lived all his life in Ionia.

Surviving are his mother, Gladys B. Helmer; two sisters, Bernice Falsetta of
Ionia and Charlotte Gilmore of Sheridan; and nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac,
with the Rev. Kathryn Coombs of Easton United Methodist Church officiating. 
Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home
Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.  A memorial for Easton United
Methodist Church has been established, in care of the funeral home.
